2023 Ohio State Fair – It’s a Wrap!

The School Choice Ohio team has spent the last 12 days at the Ohio State Fair.  We are thankful that we had a chance to meet families from all across the state and be able to share great news about the educational options and resources in Ohio for our students. 

In reviewing our experience over the last 12 days, there are so many positive things that we were able to see, hear, learn, and take with us as we closed out our time at the Fair…

• Ohio students are all different!  It was great to meet kids who were participating in the Fair and earning honors for their work with animals, art, music, and more.  Having opportunities to develop their knowledge, experience, and talents provides Ohio students with awesome learning experiences now and for the future.
• Ohio has some amazingly gifted student musicians!  THE Ohio State may have the best band in the land, but our team got a chance to hear high school bands from all across the state who were phenomenal.  Thank you for providing us with such outstanding entertainment! 
• Ohio is full of caring families.   We were once again reminded that ALL Ohio families have at least one thing in common…they love their kids and want what is best for them.  They are searching for the educational option that best fits their student’s unique needs.  The best option for one might not be the best fit for another.  The power of educational choice is critical for our families in order for their students to thrive.
• Ohio has amazing educators, school employees, school administrators, and school board members who are dedicated to the students they serve.  Thank you for stopping by to indicate your support and heart for your students.  Thank you for putting students first in all you do.
• Many Ohio families LOVE their educational choice. Whether they have chosen public, private, charter, or home education…families are happy and their students are doing well.

A few messages for just a few of the people we got a chance to meet…

• To the single mom who is struggling to help her son with learning challenges:  Keep fighting for him. There are resources and supports available to help your son thrive.  School Choice Ohio is here to help.
• To the school counselor:  The heart you have for your students is inspirational.  You are playing such an important role in these children’s lives.  You are making an impact.  Keep going.  You are making a big difference.
• To the school board member:   Thank you for putting students first in your district. Thank you for the work you are doing and for standing strong on the things that are most important for Ohio students to succeed.
• To the retired teacher who has stepped back in to help teach students. Thank you! You are needed.
• To the families of Ohio:  Thank you for stopping by and saying hello.  It was a pleasure to meet every one of you and learn more about your students.  Ohio is full of different educational opportunities and we are thankful we live in a great state where students come first.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and made the 2023 Ohio State Fair such a fantastic experience for the School Choice Ohio team.  We will see you all again next year!  School Choice Ohio works year-round to help families and students.
