School Choice Ohio proudly highlights Ohio’s excellent educational options…This week we shine our spotlight on Emmanuel Christian School in Toledo, Ohio.

Emmanuel Christian School has been serving the families and students of NW Ohio and SE Michigan since 1967. Their student body has grown to almost 600 students from Kindergarten through the 12th grade but their mission has remained the same for over 50 years.

ECS strives to serve and love all families. With that in mind, our student body is incredibly diverse. Students of all race and ethnicities feel comfortable, known and loved as soon as they walk through our doors. We believe grace and discipline go hand in hand to assist students in making biblically based decisions and we strive to work with each student to obtain their full potential academically.

ECS students and their families have resources available to them to assist with the cost of tuition, such as tuition assistance and Ohio’s EdChoice and Jon Peterson scholarship programs. These financial resources allow ALL students to attend a private, Christian school where character building, discipleship, and academic excellence are the focus. Because ECS has a smaller student body, families and students are able to form close relationships, not only with one another, but also with school leadership and staff.

There are many success stories at Emmanuel Christian School. Recently, we were blessed to have a student transfer to ECS for his senior year. He had been attending a designated (failing) school in the Toledo area and his family was searching for something different. Not only did he succeed in sports, but he also made deep friendships with students and impactful relationships with staff and faculty. He was quickly immersed into the ECS culture and always had a smile on his face. He completed his senior year successfully and earned a scholarship for college. With the help and support of his family and the school’s faculty and staff, he made decisions that would affect his future and positively impact his life forever. That is what being a Emmanuel Christian WARRIOR is all about!
