Have some time on your hands?

Did you know the State Board of Education streams their meetings via the Ohio Channel?  The Ohio Channel makes it easy to catch the latest episode of the State Board (or binge-watch multiple meetings) through its extensive library of meetings.

In case you’re not familiar with Ohio’s State Board of Education, the 19-member board is made up of 11 elected members and 8 members appointed by the governor. The board employs the State Superintendent for Public Instruction, set cut scores on state tests, charters public and private schools, issues teaching licenses, and creates regulations (administrative rules or Ohio Administrative Code) that schools must follow.

In addition to video files, audio files are available for some of the board’s committee meetings.

Meeting agendas, minutes, presentations and other materials are available here.
