Autism Awareness Month

In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, please take a moment to watch the following powerful stories that we have shared over the past few years. These families all have a child on the autism spectrum. Their children are receiving an education tailored specifically to their unique learning needs with the help of Ohio's Autism Scholarship Program or Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program.






William's Story
William is a recipient of Ohio's Autism Scholarship. He went from being nonverbal to exceeding expectations in his education - writing stories and doing multiplication and division. His mom says he is now a happy, confident young man.Click here to watch William's story





Jennifer's Story
When Jennifer learned about Ohio's Autism Scholarship Program, she felt hopeful for her son's future. With the help of the scholarship, she was able to send her son to a learning environment that best fits his needs. Click here to watch Jennifer's story.





The Fife Family's Story
When Paul was three, he wasn’t talking, and he was also aging out of his county’s early intervention program. With the help of Ohio's Autism Scholarship, the Fifes enrolled him in a private school that specializes in language development, and he receives therapies at home. Jessica's Story
Jessica's son struggled in a traditional classroom environment, despite great effort from his public school. She was relieved to find the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship.
