Greg R. Lawson is a research fellow at The Buckeye Institute with extensive expertise on Ohio’s budget education and education funding. He is the author of a forthcoming report on funding #StudentsFirst, and has written extensively and testified on education savings accounts and other education policies while also serving on multiple charter school boards.
Dr. Matthew Ladner is Director of the Arizona Center for Student Opportunity at the Arizona Charter Schools Association and serves as Executive Editor of the blog ReimaginED. Ladner has written numerous studies on school choice, charter schools, and special education reform. Dr. Ladner has testified before Congress, state legislatures, and the United States Commission of Civil Rights. Ladner is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and received a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Houston.
Derrell Bradford is the president of 50CAN: The 50-State Campaign for Achievement Now. Mr. Bradford leads communications and policy, and trains and recruits local leaders across the country to serve as executive directors of state CANs, advocacy fellows, and citizen advocates. He also leads the National Voices fellowship, which focuses on education policy, media, and political collaboration. He is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (Pahara Fall 2016) and serves on several boards including Success Academy Charter Schools, and was the founding board chair of EdBuild. A native of Baltimore, Derrell attended the St. Paul’s School for Boys and the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a bachelor’s degree in English.
Chad Aldis is the Vice President for Ohio Policy at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute. He plans and leads Fordham’s Ohio policy, advocacy, and research agenda and represents the Institute in its work with state and local policy makers, the media, other education reform groups, and the public
